Hosting Rotary Clubs: Ellicott City Rotary Club, Greater Crofton Rotary Club
Purpose: To raise funds for youth outreach sailing programs in the sister state’s of Maryland in the USA and Rio in Brazil.
Location: Baltimore Harbor, Port Covington, Maryland
What we did: Rotary clubs from Maryland and Brazil raced One Design J22 sailboats in a total of 5 races around a windward/leward course to score points for points based on finishing position. The overall winner was the boat with the least points accumulated.

Who benefited? The RCR fund-raiser benefited two Youth Outreach Programs, the Downtown Sailing Center in Baltimore, Maryland USA(www.downtownsailing.org) and Projeto Grael (The Grael Project) in Rio, Brazil(www.torben-grael.com/english/graelproject).
